Richardson’s Farm Race

Hello Everyone,

WOW, another beautiful weekend. It was a bit hot for the riders though. Actually it was a bit hot for everyone. No rain…so no complaints.

I heard the boys had a great day on Saturday for the Jr. Enduro. Nate took 2nd and Cole got 5th. Anthony got 4th in miniA. Good job boys.

This page might seem a slight bit scattered, but I had been traveling since Thursday (brought my daughter Chloe to Penn State) so I might have been sleep deprived. 1,200 miles in 3 days was a lot for me. Anyway, When we arrived at Richardson’s farm on Saturday afternoon there were already a number of Stateline riders there. We made a mad dash to the starting line, just in time to see Simon take off in the Pee Wee 2 class. He had a great start and a great race. Simon lead the way around the track for a bit, but was passed at the end to finish in second place. Great job Simon!! I think your ready for miniB.

Saturday night was quiet again this weekend….Stateline Riders are serious about their racing and need to get their sleep. Well, there are a few of them that are just as serious about beer drinking but on a hot summer night who could blame them, right Paul? Oh, sorry… I didn’t mean to mention names. Early Sunday morning was great. The sky was clear the air was warm and the breeze was slight, but soon the air got heavy and the humidity took over leaving our young boys hesitant to get their gear on. Who, could blame them, right Jordan? Oh, Sorry… I didn’t mean to mention names. 9am found them all ready and rearing to go to the start. After wishing everyone well, Crystal and I scattered to get as many photo’s as we could. I will try and figure my camera out (or buy a new one) so my pictures aren’t so blurry. Or maybe all of you are just so fast that a camera can’t focus! Bigwheel took off great, Cole got another smooth start. It is starting to be a habit Cole. Off they all go into the dust. Mini A also went well. Jordan had another good start right there with Zack, followed by Tan the Man. The dust is just hanging in the air now. Aubrey is next…I dont know if it was that new starting coach or what but Aub flew heading into the woods in first place. The race was two 9.9 mile laps so that doesnt give many times to see the kids out there. There are a few pictures though. So, the race report goes like this…Nate broke down halfway through the first lap..bad luck Nate. That left Sawyer, Cole and Conner to wrap up bigwheel for the team. Sawyer had a great finish taking 3rd and Conner had a fantastic race getting 4th. Cole wrapped it up with 7th. Mini A is next, I just have to say something about Anthony Jackson. He is not a Stateline Rider but he deserves mentioning. Anthony overalled the entire morning race and had lap times that would have beat the pants off Paul and that would have competed with Dillan Garmley. He is impressive!  Back to us, Zack Mossey got 7th. Jordan came through in 9th place with twisted bars anda missing side plate. Riding with a competitors foot peg in your chain doesnt work Jord, but I bet you know that now.  The wolf wrapped it up for mini A’s in 11th place. You guys are impressive too! Now, Aubrey finished the race in 3rd place and that puts her in the lead for the season. Nice way to start your racing career girl.

11am…mid morning and it is hot and sticky. Sound familiar, like last weekend? I think this weekend might have been even more humid if that’s possible. Luke Johnston raced his last morning race, he finished 4th in C200 and that pushed him to the afternoon race. Congrats Luke!! Nick is back in action and finished 2nd and Mike took 5th. Good job again guys.

1:30pm…early afternoon and it was moist. The boys made it to the start…some of them barely making it, right Paul? oh, sorry.  Jon had a great start in AA. Dillian was not so lucky, he was left on the line kicking..he did get the bike started and flew into the woods to find the rest of the A250 pack. Ty, Dylan and the rest of the gang got off with out a hitch and headed in hoping to find their way to the front. They had five, 9.9 mile laps to accomplish this task. Paul was the first one with trouble. A loose rear wheel could present a problem in a race. Thanks to the guys in the pits, they tightened everything up and back at it he went. Then Rob lost his kick starter and stalled his bike. Impossible to start with a recluse. Better luck next time. OK, then there was BOB not that he had trouble but it sure was funny. A rider hit the dirt right before he came across the bridge and was on all fours trying to get up. Bob thought about going up over him, but instead parked his bike right in the crack of this kids x@z. After wiggling his front wheel a bit and screaming to the kid to get out of the way, Bob did move on leaving us all in stitches and the kid wondering what the x@*% . Unfortunately, neither myself or Crystal got a picture of it. Next it was Todd. We saw him come through the transponder riding like he was an old man and off he pulled. Trouble again with his fingers and his forearm. He tried to convince us that he always had that lump and divot..We did not buy it. Nothing a few cold beers couldn’t help. Hope your feeling well Todd. That is all the trouble I can remember thank goodness. No real injuries or mechanical breakdowns.  The day was wrapped up like this;  AA, Jon finished 4th in class and 6th overall. He is really working his way to the top. I hope he doesnt kill himself doing it. Dillian finished 4th in A250 and 13th overall. Ty got 5th in A200 and? overall (does anyone want to send me this). BOButt (new nickname, among others) finished 1st in Aopen and in A senior Marty got 2nd, Paul took 5th. Digger got 4th, Todd took 5th and Rob got 8th in Avet. Dylan got 11th in B200 and Chad took 2nd in Bvet. In the B senior class Ben took 3rd and Jamie finished with 5th.

Good job everyone!! I know I say it every week, but we really have a great group of racers and supporters. I am proud to be a member.

This coming weekend is our race. We need to work hard and show everyone how dedicated to the sport that we all are. John has put a lot into this club and we need to pay him back by putting on the best race possible. I hope everyone comes out to the work parties this week and steps up for the club.

See you all this weekend..have a great week and be race ready.
